Kempele's slogan is "It is good to grow up in Kempele" and one of the municipality's prides is its schools. Four lower secondary schools and one upper secondary school offer high level education. Further education possibilities are offered by Kempele Sixth Form School and Kempele Vocational College. An Open college is also located in the area.
